During May, NZ Music Month was in full swing and AMS Nightlife venues played over one million Kiwi tracks.
Over one million kiwi tunes flowed through bars, restaurants, cafes, gyms, hotels and retail stores in May, boosting NZ Music significantly.
We took NZ Music Month to a new level this year by promoting NZ Artists in a new way. We created three specific playlists that were jam-packed with NZ Music (which are now available on Spotify), we created a quiz designed to give an insight into NZ Music history (you can still play it here) and we created the “NZ Music” logo to encourage crowdDJ users to select Kiwi tunes on the app and kiosks. Our social media channels were also filled with exciting content from artists around the country.
- 1,085,329 NZ songs played across the country, a 5.4% increase on April play data.
- 10,514 tracks by NZ song-writers and recording artists were picked on crowdDJ, a 7.64% increase on April.
- You can find more statistics on our social post which also gives the results of the quiz.
What songs did New Zealanders pick the most on crowdDJ?
Thank you to everyone who was part of NZ Music Month and contributed to the success by picking songs on crowdDJ and selecting our playlists.
We look forward to creating more worthwhile campaigns that enhance the NZ Music industry.
